ATP certification system for trucks


Only ATP certified vehicles in Europe and US, are allowed to transport perishable foodstuffs across international boundary.

IRS, National Instruments Certified Alliance Partner, supplied a high productivity ATP certification system for insulated trucks and refrigeration vans.

The system hardware includes

  • 4 NI CompactRIO systems in master/slaves configuration, enabling the data acquisition and management of about 120 thermocuples, 16 voltage and current signals and 8 relays
  • EtherCAT bus communication for data synchronization
  • 4 FPGA PID controls embedded on NI CompactRIO
The software application includes
  • ATP certification tests and reports
  • Parallel and simultaneous testing of up to 4 vehicles and management of indipendent insulation zones on the same vehicle
  • Automated measurement calibration system
