Industrial sector applications commonly suffer error and problems linked to the environmental conditions. If the system is not for office software or if you work in harsh conditions, PC choice to be made is an industrial PC.

Main differences between an industrial and a traditional PC are linked to tough structure and reliability, with industrial and special application in mind. One of these platforms is the PXI (PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation), combining PCI bus characteristics with the modular and compact system CompactPCI, often used in industrial application of different types.

Desktop industrial PC, compact e tough with up to 8 slot bus and optional double heat dissipation.

19” Rack mounting industrial PC, with unit ranging from 1U to 6U and backplane choice of ISA/PCI, active and passive PCI and up to 20 slot. Multiple choice of power supplies, cooling device and IT accessories like DVD burning devices, hard disks, RAM, etc.

Mini embedded PC (small footprint with medium performance). Available version are also fanless, PentiumM processor and Compact Flash or Disk on Chip memory.

Panel PC : the PC is integrated on the screen envelope and is rack mounted. Available models span from 5,7” to a 19” screen size for the more sophisticated application. It is available with or without touch screen and with PCI board expansion box.

Workstation : the PC is integrated with the screen and basic keyboard package. Available configurations are various and are similar to rack mounted PC.
